Effect of thyroxine administration on serum thyrotropin receptor antibody and thyroglobulin levels in patients with Graves' hyperthyroidism during antithyroid therapy
-
Kuo S-W, Huang W-S, Hu C-A, Liao W-K, Fung T-C, Wu S-Y: Effect of thyroxine administration on serum thyrotropin receptor antibody and thyroglobulin levels in patients with Graves' hyperthyroidism during antithyroid therapy. Eur J Endocrinol 1994, 131:125-130. This study from Taiwan reported a fall in TRSAb level from 38% to 10% in the methimazole combined with thyroxine group, with no fall in TRSAb in the methimazole alone group. Thyroid volume treated by ultrasound correlated with the serum TRSAb level.
