    • Note that the expressions for the exact state response functions beyond the quadratic response can no longer be put into a single term, if the reduced resolvent R(ω) is used. An open-ended one-term formula can only be obtained, if in the resolvent the ground state 0 is included in the summation (Ref. 7). Such a formula, however, contains secular terms which diverge in the static limit (Ref. 7).
