    • It has been established (see [10] and [11]) that a fit with two quadrupole doublets, corresponding to two slightly different Fe-sites, is the correct one for57Fe-doped La1.85Sr0.15CuO5 The same seems to be true for57Fe-doped La1.25Nd0.6Sr0.15CuO4. This can be seen in the 4.2 K-57Fe-MB spectrum (Fig. 3b), where the two Fe-site fit definitely is the correct one (the one Fe-site fit gives wrong line intensities) However, for the purpose of this paper, the fitting of the hightemperature spectra with one quadrupole doublet, which gives the average hf parameters, certainly is good enough
