The undulator produces circularly polarized radiation that is immaterial to the purpose of this work: in fact (Formula presented) does not have a magnetically ordered structure. Therefore there is no preferential quantization axis, which means that an integration over all different polarization directions takes place, and that the light can be considered isotropic.
