Position of each party on the left-right spectrum is based on subjective self-location of citizens supporting this party. Local Democracy and Innovation surveys have been sources of data to locate parties in Czech and Slovak Republics. For Polish parties, data from The General Social Survey have been used, while in the case of Hungary location of parties on the left-right political scale is based on Taylor (1992).
