    • The null hypothesis of this test is that the estimated effects of the explanatory variables on wages are no different for Hispanic blacks (HB), Hispanic whites (HW), non-Hispanic blacks (NHB) and non-Hispanic whites (NHW). These effects are represented by the coefficients on the separate wage equations. Six additional tests were also made in order to determine whether any of the four groups were pair-wise similar. The results are: Combined HB/HW HB/NHB HB/NHW HW/NHB HW/NHW NHB/NHW Samples Samples Samples Samples Samples Samples Samples 5.77* 3.53* 4.32* 7.55* 5.86* 4.12* 6.33* *significant at01 level
