The spatially integrated PL is measured by using a weakly focused laser, with a spot diameter of approximately 200 μm, so that the spectra integrate disorder over a sample area four orders of magnitude larger than that of the micro-PL system. This makes the comparison of the macro-PL and micro-PL line shape very difficult.
