    • A computer program written at our laboratory was used to simulate the peak intensities. The intensities are calculated for a three-layer model (gold/organic layer/air) using the Fresnel formalism. The optical constants, molar extinction coefficients, are determined in a separate transmission experiment. These constants are inserted in the program together with the thickness of the 1-TEP layer, which is varied to fit the experimental peak intensities.
