These authors oversimplified the expression (2.2) of (Formula presented) as a function of (Formula presented) by omitting the -1 as would be correct for a strong Schwoebel effect. This is generally not justified since the case of interest is that of a weak Schwoebel effect, when (Formula presented)/(Formula presented) is very small, so that the growing surface remains smooth for a long time. Since (Formula presented) plays no part in the remainder of their articles, this mistake has no consequence
