    • We note that the method of our measurement is quite different from that of Cazabat c6, who studied electric birefringence in a ternary water-in-benzene microemulsion. The negative birefringence was determined by a sharp negative spike immediately after the applied electric pulse. Since it is not entirely clear why the Kerr electro-optical response would have such a sharp down-turn, we cannot comment on the significance of the measurements
