7. Equations (1) and (2) describe in good approximation the observed gross feature of the shape effects also in the presence of anisotropies, since the anisotropy contributions are small.
8. The data of the 1/2 μm sample compared to the 1/1.1 μm sample shows a larger scatter in the data due to the smaller light scattering cross section caused by the lower magnetic coverage, but the data indicate clearly that no significant fourfold anisotropy contribution is present in this sample.
