    • With small data sets some points happen to have the same neighborhoods and are therefore corrected to exactly the same value. This can be avoided [A. Pikovsky (private communication)] by introducing distance dependent weights in Eq. (1). In the examples studied in this paper this leads to a slight improvement of the results.
