9. The power law behavior with an exponential cutoff for the Barkhausen effect curves has been derived in the literature for some special cases [see, for example, B. Alessandro, J. Appl. Phys. 68, 2901 (1990)]. It was explicitly adopted in Ref. 4, and appears to have been used in Ref. 5 for the fits in their Fig. 1. This is the simplest form one could devise for the fitting.
