A reviewer has properly pointed out that the excited state of the reactant ion might originally have distribution of vibrationally excited states, and thus we would be dealing with a distribution of rate constants. Incorporation of this possibility would, however, make the kinetic analysis hopelessly complex. The rate constants derived in this study, thus, represent an average behavior of the distribution mentioned above.
