    • Any arguments based on age of AD onset should be viewed with suspicion; it would be more accurate to refer to the age of AD detection. The clinical heterogeneity of AD, and the lack of any biochemical markers for diagnosis during the life of the patient, makes it difficult to determine the time course of AD pathogenesis.
