The ionization potential of HCCO is not known experimentally, but has been calculated (C. M. Rohlfing, private communication) to be 10.4 eV. This means that two-color R2PI via the B̃-X̃ origin band of HCCO could be accomplished using an ArF excimer laser at 193 nm for the ionization step.
