41. In the present work, the indirect exchange interactions via Au spacing are typically one order smaller than the direct ones [a general discussion is reported by J.-T. Wang, L. Zhou, and Y. Kawazoe, J. Mater. Trans. JIM 40, 1228 (1999)], and thus are neglected.
42. It is noted that the oscillatory indirect exchange interaction might introduce small oscillations of Curie temperature. Experimentally, the oscillations of Curie temperature in Co/Cu/Ni trilayers is reported by A. Ney, F. Wilhelm, M. Farle, P. Poulopoulos, P. Srivastava, and K. Baberschke, in Phys. Rev. B 59, R3938 (1999).
