The dipoles themselves will also give rise to a transverse electric field; however, for the sample geometry used in the experiment, with demagnetizing factor nearly unity, they will only give rise to a small transverse voltage originating in the edge magnetic fields generated by the sample magnetization, which does not increase with the sample width.
