    • Usually the Kerr nonlinearity is introduced in a slightly different way: as (Formula presented) This definition introduces a small additional detuning, which nevertheless can be canceled with a redefinition of the parameters

    • The definition given by G. S. Agarwal [Phys. Rev. A 24, 2889 (1981)] in terms of SU(2) irreducible tensor operators also provides covariance and overlap relations. Our definition seems to be more convenient to work with, and the correspondence to the common Wigner function is more clear. The relation between our construction and the Agarwal definition as well as the contractions to the Heisenberg-Weyl group (the common Wigner function) and to the Euclidean group
