One could have a nonunitary quantum database where the (Formula presented) register is always reset to (Formula presented) to ensure it gives no information on (Formula presented). This would not matter to a classical query where all the information is in (Formula presented), but severely cripples the quantum algorithm. It is not known if such a database will allow any improvement over classical algorithms
