    • Another issue with this model is that the amplitude of the effective potential oscillates with field. This might give rise to oscillations in the magnetoresistance. Such oscillations are seen in spatially modulated semiconductor heterostructures and known as Weiss Oscillations [C. W. J. Beenakker, Phys. Rev. Lett. 62, 2020 (1989), and references therein]. They have not been observed in these materials.
