One may wonder why MeOH is present in crystals of 3 since none was introduced to the crystallization solution. The MeOH solvate molecule is believed to be acquired through diffusion of MeOH present in the glove box atmosphere where the crystals were grown, which is consistent with the fairly long crystallization times and partial occupancy of the solvate molecule.
