    • Following the thesis of Eisenbud, the local delay time (Formula presented) is defined in 22 as the appearance of the peak in the outgoing signal in channel b after the injection of a wave packet in channel a. Our definition of the local delay time (Formula presented) in Eq. (1) coincides with the definition of (Formula presented) in the limit of narrow bandwidth pulses, as shown in Eq. (3).
