Typically, a mixture of 1 (1.4 mmol) and TASF (9.2 μmol) in THF was kept for 1 min at 0°C and then poured into methanol to give polymer 2 in 60% yield: Mn = 11,000, Mw/Mn = 1.7. The molecular weights were determined by GPC calibrated by linear polystyrene standards. However, the molecular weights may not be reliable because of the high branching in polymer 2.
