30. Proton assignments were based on NOESY experiments, which revealed correlations e.g. between the cyanoindolyl 2′-H and 3-H, 4-H, and anti-6-H as well as between 2-H and 3-H. The NOESY spectrum obtained was fully consistent with the conformation, having a pseudoaxial cyanoindolyl substituent, observed crystallographically.
