The flux of injected atoms does not form a principal limitation. Recent experiments showed that it is also possible to omit the mirror and coaxially overlap the doughnut beam with the atom beam by sending it right through the 2D-MOT compression zone. In this case up to 60% of the atoms could be captured and guided by the doughnut beam
