note
-
Displacements and Franck-Condon factors for this mode have been calculated in Ref. 23 for a similar dye, C153. The steady-state spectra of C102 and C153 in cyclohexane are nearly indistinguishable except for a spectral shift. Therefore the calculations in Ref. 23 are also relevant for C102 here.

note
-
In Ref. 29, the coherent contribution has been calculated for the degenerate pump-probe experiment on the dye HITCI in ethylene glycol, using the Brownian oscillator model (Ref. 15). For resonant excitation it is shown that the coherent contribution is negligible. We expect a similar result for our case since the relevant dephasing processes for the excited and ground state of C102 in acetonitrile are faster than those for HITCI in ethylene glycol.
