    • Strictly speaking, this treatment is valid only in the case that one subband is occupied. However, we can also carry out this Dingle analysis for larger densities such that the second subband and/or the δ layer are occupied and when no intermodulation of the subbands is observed. This is justified under the assumption that the decay of the SdH oscillations from the first subband is only determined by the single particle scattering time in this subband and is independent of the featureless background in ρxx due to the other conduction channels.
