9. When the reactions were carried out for 2 h, yields of hydrocarbons are less than those obtained by the reactions carried out for 6 h. Since yields of hydrocarbons in the reactions carried out for 24 h do not exceed so much those in the reactions for 6 h, the reactions were usually carried out for 6 h.
