    • We give some examples: Contrary to Hartree-Fock theory, the SDA predicts spontaneous magnetic order only above a critical band filling, which is in accordance with Kanamori's result (Ref. 3). Remarkable agreement has been found with rigorous results of Nagaoka [Y. Nagaoka, Phys. Rev. 147, 392 (1966)] concerning the magnetic ground state for different lattice structures [see Refs. 31 and 32 and T. Herrmann and W. Nolting (unpublished)]. For moderate U the magnetic phase diagram obtained from the SDA is compatible with results found in weak-coupling theory (Ref. 48). SDA results (Ref. 32) for the occupation-number dependence of the Curie temperature for the d=3 fcc lattice qualitatively resemble the corresponding exact results found for an infinite-dimensional fcc lattice (Ref. 49).
