    • The authors of Ref. 2 were appropriately cautious in their conclusions. They remarked that their measurements were "consistent with the SOC paradigm of turbulent transport. However, it does not prove that this model offers the only explanation . . . . At this point, we are not aware of other dynamical mechanisms that may provide an alternative answer, but it may exist."
