    • The agreement is perfect for the RC signal, while we could not reproduce the normal incidence AC results of Ref. 24. This could be due, at least in part, to the poorer angular and energy resolution of the present setup, namely (Formula presented) and 300 meV (cf. Ref. 16) versus (Formula presented) and 125 meV (cf. Refs. 24 and 25), respectively. Our results are indeed very similar to the data reported in Ref. 24 for out-from-normal incidence. This indicates that the spin-dependent AC signal in clean Fe is very sensitive to the incidence angle, at variance with our findings in Fe(001)-(Formula presented) (Ref. 18
