16. The same experiment was performed with CD-NA. Unfortunately, owing to the value of the R-CD-NA complexation constant (vide infra) and to the expected magnitude of AEL-R, it was impossible to simultaneously satisfy the concentration requirements so as to observe a significant amount of R-CD-NA complex while keeping a sufficiently low absorbance of the sample to record the ICD spectrum.

Although no sample of the oxaziridine P' was purified in the present study (P' was shown to be very unstable under the conditions used), we checked that the UV/vis spectrum of an irradiated nitrone solution in dioxane was in fair agreement with the reported UV/vis spectrum of P' in ethyl ether displayed in reference 14.
