Strictly speaking, the heavy atom coordinate Is a reservoir mode by virtue of the used Harniltonian. Since this mode is of outstanding importance for the HT we consider it as a primary reservoir oscillator as opposed to the weakly coupled secondary oscillators which have heen neglected here.
