    • 1 and the results presented therein, probably too low by ∼2 Chl/RC. Thus, the preparations studied were likely closer to 6, 7, and 8 Chl/RC than ∼4, 5, and 6. It is possible that CP 47 was mainly responsible for the additional ∼1 and 2 Chl molecules in the two higher Chl content preparations.

    • Under the conditions of the den Hartog et al. experiments, NPHB is biased towards Chl molecules with long lifetimes since the efficiency of hole burning depends, in part, on the induced absorption rate. This may also contribute to the absence of the 680 nm feature in their action spectrum.
