    • Note that while previous scattering experiments have indicated a transient ordering of samples at volume fractions as low as Φ=0.47 26, these always involved higher strain rates, i.e., higher frequency and Péclet number, than we have used here. The ordering of low volume fraction samples was furthermore observed most clearly (by scattering measurements) in the velocity gradient-vorticity plane, a plane not studied by microscopy here
