    • It is known that compounds embedded in polymers sometimes show more complicated emission kinetics, especially at low temperatures, than in liquid solution. This may be due to an inhomogeneous distribution of sites in a solid matrix (see refs 55 and 56). A similar effect might be responsible for the difference in fluorescence kinetics between solid TIN P and MA-TIN 1.
