Actually only the individual vibrational levels are expected to disperse linearly with photon energy, which is corroborated by examining the peaks obtained by our fits. However, in the present case the overall envelope shows essentially the same dispersion behavior because the peak maximum is determined by the (Formula presented) line throughout.
