    • We have also reduced membrane fluctuations by holding cells at 4 °C, resulting in partial cell sorting identical to that seen with cytochalasin B. If we return the cells to 37 °C we obtain complete sorting over normal time scales, indicating that the cells are not significantly damaged by refrigeration.
