    • Upon 193 nm exposure of the multiring silane films, the main change is the monotonic decrease in intensity of the UV spectrum. However, a weak, but detectable tail is also observed that is red-shifted from the lowest energy π → π* transition and may be due to the formation of photooxidized species such as quinones or aldehydes.
