    • In comparison with other data sets obtained with better thermalized ions, the data set of Table I evidently corresponds to incompletely thermalized ions, making the induction times somewhat shorter than in other data sets. Accordingly, the computer-simulated curve in Fig. 9 was generated by a set of induction-time simulations in which the ions were assumed to start with 0.25 eV of excess energy at the beginning of laser irradiation. In fitting this data set to the computer simulations, the W calibration curve of Fig. 5 was appropriately modified to correspond to these revised simulations
