    • The survival probability for the irreversible reaction weakly depends on the mobility of each reactant species; see, for example, A. M. Berezhkovskii, D. J. Bicout, and G. H. Weiss, J. Chem. Phys. 110, 1112 (1999). In the present work, however, we simply use Eqs. (3.29) and (3.30), which are the survival probability expressions for the target model. It is not a consistent approximation since if A molecules are immobile so that the forward reaction can be described by the target model, then the reverse reaction should be described by the trapping model. Unfortunately, an exact expression for the survival probability is not available for the trapping model as well as for the more general case where both reactants are mobile.
