For the single color pump-probe experiment on acetone clusters at 585 nm, the acetyl ion signal comes from both the dissociative ionization of acetone, which requires a "3+2" process, and the ionization of the neutral acetyl radical, which requires a "3+3" process. This was not clearly stated in the original paper.
