We note that at small wave vectors, for which the wavelength becomes comparable to the size of the sphere, a comparison between the results obtained in the finite-size spherical geometry (our Monte Carlo calculations) and those in the planar geometry (as in the SMA) is somewhat complicated by the finite-size effects. For this reason, it is more appropriate to compare both the GMP mode and the CF exciton energies for the same geometry, which is what we have done in case of v=1/3 (Fig. 1).
