    • While such field geometry enhances the demagnetization, this configuration minimizes the temperature gradient of the sample on the hot finger. The geometrical factors G1 and G2, in which the demagnetization effect should be involved, were determined by the experiments on the Pb reference sample with the same geometry. In this study, we assumed that G1 and G2 are constant in T. The approximation error near Tc does not change the qualitative feature of λ(T) in Fig. 3.

    • For x=0.09, the normal state skin depth in the c direction becomes of the same order as the sample dimension C/2 because of its low c axis conductivity. Therefore, the frequency shift is saturated above 23 K and 1/Q(T) shows a peak at 23 K. For x=0.09, we assumed that λc(T=23 K) is equal to C/2 and we estimated λc(0).

    • We cannot judge whether λab(T)-λab(0) at low temperatures has the exponential dependence predicted in the s wave BCS theory or not, because of the limited resolutions. More precise measurements of λab(T) at low temperatures are needed in determining the pairing state.

    • If the interlayer coupling is Josephson like, the superconducting gap exists only in the CuO2 planes. The temperature dependence of λab shows that the magnitude of Δ(0) is nearly equal to the BCS value. The results are not sensitive to the precise value of Δ(0).
