    • Both GC-MS and HPLC studies show the occurrence of three products; the major one (ca. 90%) was confirmed to be 2 by NMR. On the basis of the literature (Pan, X.; Schuchmann, M.; Sonntag, C. J. Chem. Soc., Perkin Trans. II 1993, 289) we assume the minor products may be the corresponding 1,4-cyclohexadiene and an endoperoxide.
