    • Due to experimental difficulties, Figures 5-7 include data from the fluorescence spectrum of pure FeTMPyPCl. On the basis of a comparison of the fluorescence and transmission spectra of FeTTAPCl, we conclude that, in the fluorescence spectra, self-absorption effects result in a reduction of the intensity of the EXAFS signal by approximately 20%. This decrease in intensity does not affect the conclusions presented here.
