    • The lower critical field of the superconductor can be obtained from Ginzburg-Landau theory [see, e.g., C.-R. Hu, Phys. Rev. B 6, 1756 (1972)] as (Formula presented)=((Formula presented)/4π(Formula presented))[ln (λ/ξ)+(Formula presented)] with (Formula presented)=0.50. On the other hand, a solution from London theory gives (Formula presented)=((Formula presented)/4π(Formula presented))[ln (2λ/ξ)-C+Β], where Β represents purely the core energy and C is the Euler constant. Thus Β=0.50-ln 2+C=0.38 with ln 2-C≈0.12.
